Health, Fitness and Bass Fishing...The New Trend!

Bass fishing is catching the perverbial eye of the fitness industry
as more and more bass fishing pros are turning to
professional fitness trainers and sports nutrition to
give them the edge on their competition.
This isn't isolated to the tournament fishermen either.
If you've ever taken time off from fishing and then gone full bore
one eight-hour day on the water you know...
You will discover muscle groups you didn't even know you had
when your feet hit the floor the following morning!
If you are a tournament fisherman then you multiply that by a
stretch of time for practice and competition combined
and it is even more intense.
The primary focus for bass fishing fitness is basic:
Be Healthy and Perform Better!

It is important to have a plan...Failing to plan is planning to fail!

Some helpful tips to get you through your
fishing day and still stay within the
limits of your plan include:

~Take high protein snack bars or meal-replacement drinks for the in-between times when you would normally grab a snickers

~Try to eat (or drink) every 2-3 hours 5-6 times per day instead of skipping breakfast and lunch and eating an entire day's calories at one meal after you get off the water

~Drink plenty of water, as it will help you feel full longer and if you are properly hydrated your energy levels will remain higher

~Choose meals (when you are off the water) that are higher in lean protein and lower in fat

~Finally, NEVER deprive your body of the nutrition it needs by completely eliminating any one element of your diet. Ex: Carbohydrates.
